What I'm Taking

I am still finalizing what I am taking with me and I'm sure many of these items will be up for debate by my hiking-savvy friends, but I have to start somewhere. What it amounts to is that my base weight will be roughly 16 pounds (that excludes food, water and fuel). Additionally, some items will be added and/or swapped out once I enter the Sierra's as I'll need to add an ice axe, bear canister, etc. and swap out a couple different layers for slightly warmer ones.

Below is a list of what I plan to start out with (both in my pack and what I'll be wearing).
